Lauren Armstrong is a Sydney based educator, mother of three and the heart behind The Self Love, Safe Love Collective. With a career spanning over 15 years in school leadership, as a secondary English teacher and former Dean of School, Lauren brings deep expertise and insight into the emotional needs of young people.

Her passion for this work is also deeply personal. Having experienced domestic violence in both childhood and adulthood, Lauren knows firsthand the lifelong impact of what we are taught to accept when we are young. She believes that if children are taught self-love early, they will mature with an internal compass strong enough to guide them toward safe, respectful relationships and away from harm.

Lauren’s work blends gentle storytelling with powerful emotional literacy tools to help children, caregivers and educators create a momentum of change around self-worth and safe love across generations.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower young people with the knowledge, confidence and tools to build strong self-worth and healthy relationships that last a lifetime.

Through picture books, parent and educator resources, teen eBooks and online modules (coming soon), we gently guide young hearts in understanding their value, setting boundaries and recognising what safe, supportive love really feels like.

For the adults guiding them, we hope this message echos for you as well, so that self-worth, safe love and healthy relationships carry through every generation.

“The more a child feels worthy within, the less they’ll settle for unhealthy relationships with others. That’s the quiet power of teaching self love early.”
